The first contributors to this page are two football fans who travelled from Holland to see Vics take on Lincoln City in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup.

Background
Gert Sanders and Stijn Franken, both 42 and from Holland, have been travelling to England for football matches since 2002 when they saw their first game, Spurs vs Sunderland. Their aim since then has been to visit all 92 of the football league grounds. So far they have managed to visit 25. They've named their quest "The Ray Wilson Project" for no other reason other than he was the least famous of the 1966 England World Cup squad! To record their progress they have put together this website: http://home.tiscali.nl/~theraywilsonproject/
Why Northwich in November?
"We want to visit all 92 league grounds, but if we get the chance to see some others, it's okay. In the case of your ground, we had the opportunity to see the Lincoln game prior to our main goal of that day: Aston Villa vs Spurs. That was a 17.30 kick off and we arrived at Liverpool airport at 10am, so there was plenty of time to visit Northwich and catch your FA cup tie."
Our seats:
"No seats as such, once we got in we could go everywhere. But we stayed on the East terrace."
Impressions of the ground:
"A very nice ground indeed, for a club in the Blue Square North league. Two nice stands and adequate facilities all around the pitch."
Atmosphere:
"Very nice, it was a big match with a record attendance for the club. So until Lincoln made it 3-1 the fans were loud and passionate. And after the full time whistle we even had a pitch invasion, how about that!"
Club shop:
"There should be one, but the one we saw only sold beer! Nevertheless almost everybody was wearing green and white scarves or hats, so no doubt there should be another one!"
Away following:
"500"
Atmosphere away end:
"Yeah, great. We never had any idea of what Lincoln City would be like, not to be rude, but we just didn't get the picture. But they are great supporters, so we look forward to our future visit to Lincoln."
The Verdict?
"We thought the ground to be a very nice one and had a great time. A nice relaxed atmosphere and an enthusiastic crowd, that's how we like it. We arrived late and it was a pity we didn't have time to take a walk around the ground, [which is] what we usually do. Otherwise we'd have found the club shop for sure and would have bought some nice Vics stuff. We always buy a hat at a club we visit. Some people collect stamps, we collect hats of football clubs! Maybe next time!"
